Lemongrass & Varicose Veins

I'm 22 years old and have varicose veins so bad I had to get surgery to remove them my senior year of high school. Here's a pic of me and my life for a month after the surgery. It wasn't an extensive recovery, I wasn't even put under, but it would have been cool if I could have avoided it. 

I was initially interested in Essential Oils because I wanted to learn how to heal myself naturally. I'm sick of all the prescriptions and medications doctors prescribe that could easily be avoided. Once I got my PSK (Premium Starter Kit) from Young Living I fell IN LOVE with the smell of oils and became super excited about all their different benefits. I didn't think at the time about how they could help my varicose veins but soon started researching oils that help. A lot of different essential oils that have properties that promote blood circulation and that's what I needed. The first oil I ordered specifically for my veins was Lemongrass.

So let me backup a bit. 

A couple years after getting the veins in my left leg taken out I started having deep throbbing aches in my right leg... An obvious sign of varicose veins starting. 

So once I got the oil I immediately started putting it on the inside of my knee and half way down my calf. (that's where the pains started). I felt a difference within maybe five minutes. The throbbing ache was GONE and I was completely shocked! I now put lemongrass on twice a day (morning & night) and even put a drop in my water every now and again when I remember. The lemony taste is delicious! The oil doesn't smell super good right out of the bottle but if you put a drop on and let it air out for a second it's better than perfume. I LOVE lemongrass scented things though so I may be partial to the scent ;) 

Anyway I'm not sure if lemongrass will completely fix my varicose vein problem but for now it's helping a TON with the pain and I've noticed my veins haven't been growing since I started applying the oils. I'm so grateful to have found these and pray I can continue to use them in different ways to help myself and my family heal naturally!

Also I was awake during the varicose vein surgery above and a little loopy... I decided it would be fun to take pictures and videotape the doctor pulling veins out of my leg... It is kind of gross so if you have a weak stomach maybe pass on this one ;)
